Turn left along the road and look for a path on the right signposted for the Knab. Follow this path beneath the golf course. As you walk, stop to look over the low wall on the seaward side. Here there are grey seals basking on the rocks, while eider ducks and shags can be seen in large flotillas bobbing on the water. Also look for black guillemots nesting alongside fulmars on the cliffs.

Follow the path to a small car park (the end of Knab Road). Walk across this to the right and take the path signposted Twageos. This path passes above lovely little bays where turnstones, redshank and more eiders can be seen. Across the Bressay Sound you can see the large island of Bressay, with its impressive rocky headlands.
